2020 February Difficult Chimney Cutout

In Laddingford. These bee have been in this chimney for years and each year they throw a huge swarm, but now the house is being expanded and they must go. So Dave Harper who lived next door said he would remove them.

The House in Laddingford which had two colonies of bees in their side by side chimneys. At least the beekeepers didn’t get wet doing it.

Lots of comb show they have been there for some years

Have cut out most of the comb. You can see in the depth of the chimney more comb still to be removed

All comb cut out but you can see where and how far down the comb had been fixed to the brickwork. A big colony.
